Eedris Abdulkareem has once again taken aim at the federal government; this time targeting the Independent National Electoral Commission in his latest track ‘Ojoro INEC’.

In the song released on Friday, the rapper accuses the electoral body of INEC of lacking true independence, suggesting that the commission is influenced by the current administration.

He also criticises recent decisions by the electoral body regarding the permanent voter card (PVC), claiming it signals manipulation by external forces.

“E be like say INEC dey work for Tinubu/ E be like say INEC dey work for APC/ If na lie/ Why you go legalise voting without PVC/ If na lie/ Why you no wan register political parties/ If na lie/ Why you no wan use electronic vote/ If na lie/ Why you dey use judiciary to suppress us,” he sings.

This isn’t the first time the outspoken artist has used his music to challenge authorities.

In June 2024, the rapper released a song titled ‘Emilokan’, where he called out Enoch Adeboye, the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

He challenged the cleric to be “critical” of Tinubu’s government as he did during Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

In April, Eedris also put out ‘Tell Your Papa’ where he called out Seyi Tinubu and asked him to relay Nigerians’ suffering to his father.

The song was later banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for allegedly violating Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code.
